Very Uncomfortable Seat While the concept of this seat is GREAT, my daughter hated it. The movable headrest sits to far foward on the seat. When she was bucked in, it looked like she couldn't lift her head up because the seat was pushing it foward. Needless to say, we will be returning this seat.
Almost Perfect I bought this because, like most moms, I was frustrated that I spent so much time putting the pacifier back in the baby's mouth. My little guy wanted the pacifier but hadnt mastered anything longer than 1.2 seconds on his own.
When I bought these he was 6 weeks old and I found that he was still too young to keep it in his mouth for any period of time and wasnt ready to grasp at the stuffed animal yet either. Now, a month later, I would be mighty upset if these wubbanums disappeared. The baby loves to finger at the animal while he sucks wildly...everyone asks if I made them...and I always point them to this product.
The only negative I have found is that I expected the stuffed part to be a bit more "weightier" I sort of anticipated that it would be more of a beanie baby...in that it was filled with something more substantial to keep the pacifier from slipping down whenever the baby was in any sort of incline position. If these had a bit more weight to them they would be more useful for the youngest of babies (and their mothers!)
To solve the problem of it slipping I found that if I tucked the wubbanub under the harness restraint in his stroller/car seat it was perfect for sucking and not slipping.
As a mother that was, once, adamantly opposed to a pacifier (and now has an infant that uses one due to an immature suck/feed issue) I am 100% happy to recommend this product to any new mom.
Toxic or Non-toxic? My daughter received this toy as a gift when she was about one year old. She enjoyed pulling the string and hearing the "quacks". However she was at the age (still is) where almost all toys go in her mouth. Right after she was playing with it I noticed a little orange on her cheek. I looked at the toy and sure enough some of the paint had chipped off. I immediately gave it back to the gift giver and she returned it! Any toy that has particles that come off when chewed are in my opinion, not safe...non toxic or not (and this toy box did NOT say, non-toxic).
Beware*** Back & Shoulder Pain I bought this and paid around $40.00. I love the look and idea but this thing kills my back and shoulder. We didn't last one wal-mart trip. I couldn't imagine someone trying to make the day in it. I don't feel the hip carry is very safe and that is the only way my daughter would go for. If you bent over far enough she could slip out and walking up right I had to constantly ajust and my arm would go numb from the preasure on my shoulder because there is no way to have it close to your neck,,ouch
Pull Toy for Eddie My grandson loves pull toys. This one has turned out to be his favorite - I love the quality of Fisher Price toys---thanks for carrying their products. Arrived very fast, too.
